In front of a standing-room only crowd, Carl Bender and Ben Davis gave the Keynote Address at AIGA Portfolio Day 10 at the California College of the Arts (CCA) on Saturday morning. Graphic design students from the Bay Area and other west coast schools gathered to receive portfolio critiques from more than 90 design professionals from prestigious firms in the Bay Area.

Carl opened the address talking about the identity and theme he created for the event entitled, “New Order of the Ages.” He went on to explain that designers have the power to shape the way people perceive the world around them and that he feels they are obligated to do that in ways that make a positive difference in people’s lives. After talking more about how I Shot Him and WPI were attempting to do this in their work, Ben Davis discussed the meaning of success.
