What do you get when you take 30 poets on a boat tour of the Bay Bridge?

The result: Everything Indicates, a 68-page book of Bay Bridge poems and portraits.

For 75 years of the bridge’s existence, most of the talk about it has been about traffic, politics, and construction. We wanted to reactivate human language around the bridge — how it connects people in the Bay Area and celebrate the tremendous engineering feats — then and now. The poetry accompanied by photography by Thomas Michael Alleman captures what the bridge means to us.
