We define a legacy project as one that makes a positive impact not only beyond our time on the project but beyond our time on the planet. The effort to strengthen the Bay Bridge fit this description nicely.
Brains, brawn and beauty permeate the new and improved Bay Bridge. The 75-year-old western side of the bridge has been made significantly stronger. The new east span is an engineering marvel that is packed with seismic innovations. And the beauty? Well, visit one of our websites and check out the new tower. It’s a sexy bit of infrastructure.
Just how sexy is the new tower? The process of assembling it is often referred to as “the largest erection in California history.” (Caltrans’ word choice, not ours.)
WPI created the current project name and identity and continues to serve the project daily. One of our critical communication tasks is developing and maintaining key project websites, from BayBridgeInfo.org and BayBridge360.org to the microsites developed around key closure events.

WPI also develops and implements online outreach strategy, and produces a diverse range of printed materials, from briefing booklets and media kits, to flyers, building signage, and maps. Project scope is based on detailed communications plans and includes extensive print, presentation, and web-based graphic design and programming support.
