Central Market, the area between 4th Street and Van Ness, is evolving to be a hub of art, business and civic life. The new Twitter headquarters, Burning Man art installations and cultural events like Off the Grid are giving new life to the once dead area.
We’ve been championing for a Better Market Street for years, so we were excited to create the identity, branding and design for the Central Market Partnership website for the San Francisco Office of Department of Economic and Workforce Developments. The website serves as a hub of information for locals and businesses to tap what’s happening on Market Street: from payroll tax exclusions for businesses to a community event calendar.
We designed the new logo to reflect the new vision for Central Market: bright, friendly, and clean. We also looked to the streets for inspiration — the logo was inspired by the metal grates that encircle public trees.
